In seriousness that was a really good read, it's always nice to have something I can relate this much to on a personal level. Not enough media touches on the implications that domestic violence can have, your feeling of helplessness like you're being trapped. Unconditional love is hard to reciprocate when you go through something like that, and I so badly wanted to tell Chad it's not his fault. You feel confused and unsure on how to handle positive people, to the point you self-sabotage and outburst without knowing why. Chad's an awesome protagonist I genuinely could connect with how he felt, and I'm glad I could read his story unfold. I really do hope you continue Home Zomewhere Else it's a hidden gem that I'm glad I read till the end. Will be sure to recommend to anyone willing to read.
@ZordyKeaboo, i know that you have been on hiatus for a long while due to A LOT of changes in your life, but I am just curious about if there is any updates you could give us as far as how things are going for you at least? It has been so long that I am honestly beginning to wonder if you have just decided to abandon this VN, and I wouldn't blame you, even if it is a great VN, because it is tied to memories of before the changes happened. I hope Jen will take her recording to a different city to ask for government involvement. Having dirt against someone so high up it's painfully obvious he's bought the local police, fight fire with fire. Blackmail him with the recording into releasing all of his 'hostages'.

So as a means to tell people that might read this comment and because just a few people have mentioned it, I think i've talked about and posted about at the same time, that HZE is going to be at least 20 chapters, and that where we currently are, Chapter 3 is merely the beggining of the story we want to tell. While the story contains, and will contain more romance in the future, this is not the main focus of the story. So we kindly ask for your patience on that matter, and hope you enjoy the ride of the story WE want to tell!
On top of having a great concept, lovable and well written characters, and wonderfully emotive sprites, xou create a very artistic way to describe "Zoma" :p
As a practitioner, I'm always curious how other writers explain the concept of magick in their universe, and xou've not left me wanting ^^_ it's so logical, in the most magickally accurate of ways n_n
I absolutely love the direction of the story. Keept up all of the amazing work! ^__^/

Trying to explain our "magic system" in a way that didn't felt overwhelming or just a dump of information was something that we tried really hard to achieve, so I hope that it came across the best way possible.
