Yet he still makes it out to sound like only he is allowed up there?!?‽ Im more confused than Muscle Dobie Boy.

So you're actually still writing it? Figured after 3yrs of darkness it was done. it was getting a bit more polished and readable towards the end, well, except for that one exposition dump part with Bruce. That was dry af
oh, well it's good to know we will know what happened to Chad one day. As much as I want Fred to finally get the relationship he's waited 9yrs for, but I know better. Visual novels very rarely have happy endings, and I feel this one won't. Not the one I want anyway. I fell Fred over those 9yrs without Chad, slowly lost those feelings he had before he killed himself. That's why he's not displaying the affection Chad is clearly expecting. Fred has resigned himself and all his focus to the forest and his powers, leaving nothing left for Chad. Though actions like in Chad's old house when Fred protected them from being caught with the embrace was absolutely beautiful. The sorrow, happiness, longing, sadness, acceptance, and utter bliss felt by Fred in that moment must've been so painful. Hugging someone he never thought he would have a chance to hold again, 😔. Chad felt it as well, which was when his true feelings finally broke through into his mind. Who could blame him, I mean, just look at Fred!!!! I normally like thiccc guys not jacked ones but, fuuuuckkk!! Mothoc, imo, will be the new subject of Chad's affections. I also think Chad is or will become the new Sentinel as his tattoos being identical to the ones Bruce has isn't a coincidence. And I can't stand Toto, i want to punch him in the dick. Chad looks better with the beard, and Fred would look cooler if he had long hair showing off his identifier, but also making it blend in more as he can play it off as just a style like Rouge from X-Men, 😆. Damn it, I hate having ADHD
In seriousness that was a really good read, it's always nice to have something I can relate this much to on a personal level. Not enough media touches on the implications that domestic violence can have, your feeling of helplessness like you're being trapped. Unconditional love is hard to reciprocate when you go through something like that, and I so badly wanted to tell Chad it's not his fault. You feel confused and unsure on how to handle positive people, to the point you self-sabotage and outburst without knowing why. Chad's an awesome protagonist I genuinely could connect with how he felt, and I'm glad I could read his story unfold. I really do hope you continue Home Zomewhere Else it's a hidden gem that I'm glad I read till the end. Will be sure to recommend to anyone willing to read.

I really liked it! i was only a few months for vacations, I definitely enjoyed Florida, New york, Baltimore and Montreal! it was really nice, mostly because of friends who lived there so i really recommend visiting those places too if you have the chance!

So as a means to tell people that might read this comment and because just a few people have mentioned it, I think i've talked about and posted about at the same time, that HZE is going to be at least 20 chapters, and that where we currently are, Chapter 3 is merely the beggining of the story we want to tell. While the story contains, and will contain more romance in the future, this is not the main focus of the story. So we kindly ask for your patience on that matter, and hope you enjoy the ride of the story WE want to tell!
On top of having a great concept, lovable and well written characters, and wonderfully emotive sprites, xou create a very artistic way to describe "Zoma" :p
As a practitioner, I'm always curious how other writers explain the concept of magick in their universe, and xou've not left me wanting ^^_ it's so logical, in the most magickally accurate of ways n_n

Hmm, there’s lots of ways this could be done 🤔 if we were to take a more scientific approach, we could help explain magick through the electricity in our bodies being a conduit for such manifestations. Perhaps certain individuals are able to manipulate this energy differently, perhaps their bodies produce it abnormally.
There’s this GDV bio-well camera that is able to measure our body’s energy field, our “aura” - take phsycial pictures of it - and I always found the research of explaining such spiritual things in a scientific way to be fascinating
In one of the stories I wrote, my explanation for magick is similar to the first theory I mentioned with the exception of the human/beastman soul being the fuel from which this power is manipulated
Or even the anime Naruto. They explained how when the body’s energy and the spirit’s energy combine in the right way, it creates chi which is then formed through hand seals into something phsycial.
The possibilities for having reason behind this are endless. I mean, it doesn’t even need to be something we have in our universe, just as long as it makes sense, even in a wildly unlikely way, it just makes the story feel fuller 🙂

I think that in most media, when they settle some magic system, or rather than using the word "magic" would be the power system they use, if its well explained within their universe laws during different parts, I always get the feeling of "oh, it makes sense!" and decide wether I like it or not, so i think it can make sense or logical/accurate within that universe's laws and i'd be satisfied with it.
I remember someone told me about the phoenix wright x professor layton game, and i was like, how does that even works if its magic, how would they explain that?
And they explained that, for example in some cases they would say: no! he's not the culprit because they used this enchantment from this book, but you actually needed X ingredients and context but this person is using Y and Z so its a different spell!!
and again, i was like oh! it makes sense, its logical, but within that universe of course heheheh
I definitely think i can see where Cale_82 is coming from, So again, i think for this case would rather be "power system", thank you for helping me clarifying! ☝️🥸
